PAPER INTERPRETATIONS is the name of Friday’s show and includes three great bands. The night will start with sketch comedy by Quiet Monkey Fight followed by fabulous musical stylings of The Head & The Heart. These guys are staright up pretty with excellent vocals and a tight band. If you don’t know about them yet, it’s time to look them up. Typewriters will be finishing off the night with a bit of comedy, a bit of singing, and a bit of audience wooing. It’s going to be a totally rad show and for only $6, you really don’t want to miss the hilarious/excellent entertainment.
Moon Duo (feat. Ripley of Wooden Shjips), Du Hexen Hase, Midday Veil @ 10:00pm Thursday 2/18/10
Thursday night at the JewelBox is going to be one trip after another. The evening starts off with Du Hexen Hase who I can only describe as urban noise meets fantastic dissonant melody. They will be followed by Midday Veil who is part-psychedelic, part-heavy trance pulsed onward by extended synth drones. Closing the evening will be Moon Duo (feat. Ripley of Wooden Shjips) hailing from San Francisco. Moon Duo is a rad band that couples rich layers with tasteful distortion. The lyrics bleed into the background but are pronounced enough that they aren’t lost. The catchy band is heavily steeped in psychedelic rock and will plunge you head first into beautiful delusions. Cover is $7.

It will be a fairly easygoing listening night at the JewelBox with some really fabulous bands. The night will start off with BLOUSE, a one-man band, followed by shoegazer band Ladies on a Fence.
